Fearless Against Bullying (FAB)
(Virtual Support Group)

Overview

Fearless Against Bully (FAB) is a specialized program designed to empower youth ages 10-18 in the Metro Atlanta area who have experienced bullying. This program provides a safe, supportive, and engaging online space where they can discuss bullying-related topics, share personal experiences, and learn effective coping strategies. Through guided discussions and interactive activities, they will gain tools to foster resilience and confidence in their daily lives.

The program aims to create a nurturing and supportive community where youth feel comfortable expressing themselves. It is designed to educate them about the effects of bullying while equipping them with strategies to build resilience and effectively navigate challenging situations. Additionally, the program promotes open dialogue and peer support to foster kindness, understanding, and empowerment among those involved.

FAB is designed to provide consistent support and engagement for youth through a structured, bi-weekly schedule. The program spans a total of 14 sessions, with each session lasting one hour and conducted virtually on a secure online platform, Microsoft Teams. To enhance the interactive experience, sessions incorporate Nearpod, and while having a second device for simultaneous access is encouraged, it is not mandatory. Participants also gain access to a dedicated Discord group to foster connections and support among peers and facilitators. The program operates twice a year, culminating in a formal celebration that recognizes participants’ growth and accomplishments. Each youth receives a certificate of completion as a testament to their commitment and participation.

In addition to virtual sessions, participants will have opportunities to engage in in-person events that are both educational and fun. These activities will foster team building, promote leadership skills, and reinforce the program’s objectives.

Youth participants are selected through a thorough application process. Only 10 individuals are accepted into the program each cycle to ensure personalized attention and meaningful engagement. Upon receiving completed applications, parents or guardians of selected participants will receive an acceptance letter outlining next steps.

All program facilitators are carefully trained and must complete comprehensive background checks before the program begins, ensuring a safe and professional environment for all participants. This carefully designed program provides youth with a unique opportunity to heal, grow, and develop the skills needed to rise above the challenges of bullying.
