YOUTH UNITED AGAINST BULLYING

Overview

In this program, we will be working together to address the issue of bullying in our school system. Through a series of interactive sessions, open discussions, and role-playing, participants will gain a better understanding of the dynamics of bullying, the impact it has on individuals and the community, and how we can work together to prevent it from happening. Participants will be encouraged to take an active role in creating a safe and welcoming school environment for all students.

Session 1 Understanding Bullying Trends

Participants will learn about the prevalence of bullying in schools and how it affects different groups of students. Through group discussions and interactive activities, participants will identify different types of bullying and their effects on the victim, bystanders, and the school community.

Session 2 What Works And What Doesn’t

Participants will explore different strategies and interventions that have been used to reduce bullying in schools. Through role-playing and case studies, participants will analyze the effectiveness of these strategies and identify potential gaps or areas for improvement.

Session 3 Knowing Your Rights And Resources

Participants will learn about laws and policies that protect victims of bullying and harassment in the school system. Through guest speakers and group research projects, participants will discover available resources and support systems for those affected by bullying.

Session 4 Creating An Action Plan

Participants will work together to devise a plan to prevent bullying from happening in their school. Through group brainstorming and action planning exercises, participants will identify key stakeholders, strategies, and resources needed to implement their plan. Participants will have the opportunity to present their plan to school administrators and advocate for their implementation.

Wrap-Up

At the end of the program, participants will be equipped with knowledge, strategies, and an action plan to create a safe and welcoming school environment. By taking an active role in preventing and addressing bullying, participants have the power to make a lasting impact on the well-being of students and the entire school community. They will also have developed practical skills and knowledge to take action against bullying in their school system and present a plan to the school administration. A certificate of completion will be issued to all participants.
